There are also no industries at the moment, though that may be added once I'm done with the towns. The scenario uses bba's Ireland 4k heightmap, which was posted in 2020, without their permission, so if bba wants me to take it down, thats fine too.Īll towns' populations have been scaled to 5%, so there are many small towns.

Just thought I might share my progress and if people are interested I may release the (still very unfinished) scenario now (although I've never done that so I don't really know how to haha). I have been making a 4096 x 4096 Ireland Scenario for a very long time, almost two years now, since progress has been slow. Train length 7, I only have two tracks between all cities, one each direction. I think none of those were marked as City so not a whole lot of growth there. The southwestern line was getting backed up at Columbus AFB and North Tulsa, but when I switched over to Vactrains it all went away. I split off Beaver to speed up the time between Ruston and Helotes, and Bristow was just getting overrun in between the two. It was the same with Bristow and Beaver, which were part of the blue line. My impressions + a bit of history: Too many transfer stations, but also too many stations per line? The northeastern red and yellow lines used to be one line, but my trains filled up at Rodessa and Nectar before they even got to Amherstdale-Robinette and East Major. Making this was just as much fun as the game itself. Overall it was a lot of fun, but extra shout-out to !

This is also my first attempt with Vactrains. I'm usually a FIRS/XIS freight kind of player, but I've wanted to try this for a while. If you are interested please join the discord: Timetable wise i was think maybe going for an everywhere to everywhere approach in the early days with only a few trains per day for each service to eventually moving to less services but more frequent by the time the 1960s and 70s roll around.Ģ) deciding details such as settings, assets etc to make it realistic as possibleģ) what map we want to use (doesnt have to be a real map could be a random one)

In some cases, companies may share track in other places they may not and choose to build two routes that go to exactly the same place. My plan is to create a realistic railway network starting in the early days of railways and slowly building up a network with companies building their own networks and having their own goals.

When they both come to my waiting stop the first bus will wait the full 10/15 days, the second bus is late and want to drive to make up for the lost time, but unable to because of the first bus, solved it by manually stopping the first bus to let the second one over take it.Ok i have long had an idea for Multiplayer but i need some help hosting it etc. I was actually looking at this yesterday and I found out that it was exactly this what was happening! The first bus is on time and the second bus is 42 days late. Build a station (at least one, more is better) with multiple platforms, so buses can leave when it's their time rather than the time of the bus in front. If you have two buses, and the second one is late, it wants to leave from the station but cannot because the first one is blocking the road. I also wondered if I have a station with a longer wait period, if the buses will shorten that wait period if the buses are late to keep up with its timetable?Īlberth wrote:For buses (and trams, and trains), vehicles must be able to overtake at some point. Wondered if anyone could help me with getting this to work. I have tried to look up on the wiki, reddit and youtube, but unable to solve the problem.

I have also tried to have all the buses start at the same time from the depot or tried adding the buses after I started the route, but I cannot get it to work. I let the route run for several weeks or months, but they never synchronize. I then buy two to four more buses and start them all and then ctrl+ click the "Start Date" button and choose a date some days in the future. I normally start one bus and run the timetable, and change the stop times to my liking. I usually have bus routes that go linear and therefore go to the same station twice, expect for the two end stations. It would be a lot of workload off my back if I could get this to work. Then I discovered that you can ctrl+click the "Start Date" button and it should automatically disperse the vehicles with the same share order evenly through the route, but for me this is not working. I discovered the Timetable button and used it a lot to timetable my bus routes and trains. Hi! I'm quite new to the game and still learning a lot!
